Five filing points
Four quarterly updates plus a final declaration, per client, per year — where there used to be one annual return.
Making Tax Digital turned one annual return into five filing points a year. DREVLO does the operational work in between — chasing the records, sorting the transactions, preparing the quarter — and hands it back ready for your review.
The problem
You hired accountants to do accounting. Not to spend Friday afternoon asking a landlord, for the third time, for a bank statement.
What it costs you
Four quarterly updates plus a final declaration, per client, per year — where there used to be one annual return.
The repeated asking. It doesn't appear on a fee note, but it appears in your team's week.
Software saying "submitted" isn't always matched by what the client sees at their end. Somebody has to check.
Anything not handled cleanly during the quarter doesn't disappear. It waits for you at year-end, in bulk.
The solution
DREVLO isn't an accountant, an adviser, or software you have to learn. We're an operational layer that sits underneath your practice. You remain the accountant. We handle the work between your client sending their records and you pressing file.
How it works
Tell us which of your clients are in scope and how you like the work returned. We fit around your process rather than asking you to change it.
YouBank statements, receipts, the missing invoice. We handle the repeated requests and the follow-ups, and keep a live list of what's still outstanding.
DREVLOTransactions organised, categorised, and allocated to the right property or trade where that applies. AI does the first pass; a person checks it and queries anything that doesn't look right.
DREVLOThe finished figures come back in the software you already use, ready for you to look over. Queries come to you, not to your client, unless you'd rather we asked them directly.
YouYou submit through your own agent account, exactly as you do now. Nothing about your relationship with HMRC changes.
YouAfter submission we check the status and give you a clean confirmation you can pass straight to your client.

Control & boundaries
We don't market to your clients, and we never suggest they work with us directly. They're yours.
We don't ask for it and we don't need it. Your relationship with HMRC is untouched.
You review the figures and you submit. Nothing goes to HMRC that you haven't approved.
We work inside the software your practice already uses — Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent — rather than asking you to move.
Questions
Only if you want us to, and only about records. The default is that we chase in your practice's name, using wording you've approved, purely to collect bank statements, receipts and missing information.
If you'd rather we never touched your clients directly, we'll send you the outstanding list instead and you can chase it yourself. Either way we never discuss fees, tax positions or our own services with them.
No, and we're not set up to. We have no engagement with your client, no agent authorisation for them and no relationship with them beyond collecting paperwork on your behalf. You are and remain their accountant.
You do, through your own agent account and your own software, after you've reviewed what we've prepared. We never submit anything to HMRC.
You are. We prepare figures from the records supplied and flag anything that looks wrong or unclear. Professional judgement, the tax treatment and the final submission remain entirely with your practice.
No. If a question needs a judgement call, it comes to you rather than being answered by us. That boundary is deliberate and we don't blur it.
Wherever possible we work directly inside your own systems, so the records stay where they already are. Where we need to hold working files, we use UK-based storage and delete them once the quarter is closed and you've confirmed you're happy.
We'll sign your data processing agreement, or provide ours, before any client data changes hands.
We work inside the software your practice already uses. In practice that most often means Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent, operating in your account under your permissions. If you use something else, ask on the call — we'd rather fit your workflow than sell you a new one.
A short call to agree scope and the data processing paperwork, then you send the client list and give us the access we need in your systems. Most practices start with a backlog clearance so you can see the standard of work before committing to anything monthly.
We chase on a set schedule and escalate to you if they still haven't responded, well before the deadline rather than the day before it. You'll always know who is outstanding and how long they've been outstanding — no surprises in the final week.
It gets flagged, not guessed. Unusual transactions, gaps, duplicates and anything that doesn't reconcile come to you as a short query list with the finished work, rather than being quietly assumed one way or the other.
Yes — that's how most practices start. We take the quarters you're behind on, work through them, and hand back finished figures for review. It's a one-off fee and there's no obligation to continue monthly afterwards.
On the number of your clients in MTD, not on hours or transaction volume. The tiers are published above. Backlog clearance is quoted separately because the amount of work depends entirely on how far behind things are.
Yes. Monthly, with 30 days' notice. We'll hand back everything we hold for your clients in a usable format. There's no exit fee and nothing is held hostage.
Because the quarters are prepared properly as you go, year-end should be a shorter job rather than a reconstruction. We can prepare the year-end figures for your review as well — that's scoped separately, so ask on the call.
Yes, and it's one of the reasons practices come to us. Transactions are allocated to the correct property or trade as part of preparing the quarter, rather than being lumped together and untangled later.
AI does the first pass at categorisation; a person reviews it before anything reaches you. Anything the system isn't confident about goes into an exception list that gets checked by hand. You then review everything before you file — you are the final control, and we design the process on that basis.
DREVLO is a small, UK-based operation — you'll deal with the person doing the work, not an account manager. That's deliberate: it's why queries come back the same day and why nothing gets lost in a handover.
Ask on the call and we'll tell you exactly what's in place, in writing, before you send us anything.
Next step
Book fifteen minutes. Tell me how many of your clients are in MTD and what the last quarter actually looked like. I'll show you where DREVLO fits into your workflow and what it would cost — and if it isn't worth doing, I'll say so.
